About

Mechaniq is built by an engineer, not a trader. The engineering habit is simple: you don’t argue about what a system will do — you build it on explicit rules, make every assumption testable, and check it against reality. What survives the test is real. What doesn’t is data.

Mechaniq applies that to trading. Every rule is a pre-registered hypothesis with its gates frozen before any data is touched, then tested out-of-sample across market regimes. Most fail. We publish those failures in full.

Most ideas fail — that isn’t the embarrassing part of the work, it’s the work. A failed strategy is a feedback loop: it shows which assumption didn’t hold, and that feeds the next idea. Compounded, disciplined failure is what eventually produces something that survives. That loop is the mission of Mechaniq.

The same instinct shows up in how the work is shown: strip the jargon, make it clear, and put it where anyone can check it. The whole pipeline is in the open — every setup, every gate, every failure, on /lab. No black box, no private track record.

Mechaniq is not a screener with more parameters, nor a Discord with louder claims. It is a small number of signals from rules tested in public and survived — and a long, honest record of the many that didn’t.

See the methodology for how each rule is verified, browse the open record on /lab, or check the FAQ for what a subscription includes.
